Author: Anastasia Dumitru
The book is an analysis of fascination and fantasy literature, many definitions of fantasy, distinct from one school to another or critical from a research field to another. Some theorists consider that is associated simply fantastic imaginary sphere, while others see it as a concept, to create the effect of surprise, overlap and may not mix plans, real imagery. Anastasia Dumitru aware that ambiguity itself is called into the generic classification of the texts of this type is defined fantastic so far, in turn, as absolutely mental, modal, aesthetic, literary or gender. During these discussions, the main circuit breaker, which he divided by scholars into followers of the French school, that of the Anglo-Saxon, was that the definition of subversive genre fiction based on reality of illusion, the illusion of reality. And, as usually happens in such polemics around terminology, the classification genologice or categories, it was refining the definitions and the discovery of surprising features of the cognitive categories. Tzvetan Todorov's theory of time and almost none made notable scholars who have pondered the genre after the appearance of fantastic literature famous introductions was unable to get around, or grab the comments or the extended concept of imagination in literature.
The author of this study found that many theorizing, diversity of views, analysis of increasingly subtle texts, which are beyond the rigid scientific classification demonstrates the viability and discussed the complexity of the genre. In search of ways of implementing the concepts in the text field, Romanian research - is observed in the book - come with a few notable contributions and only insulation that has been subjected to exegesis by the communist political regime made its results may not be recognized at fair value at European level.
Anastasia's intention is not to make distinctions about Dumitru geographical configuration of literary canons, however, it can not but observe that Romanian researchers prefer to leave their analysis of the theories of the French school, though differently positioned in relation to the definition of mystery . There will be over the book association, dissociation, parallels, correspondences between the various theories of fiction. The author is well informed about the phenomenon of fantasy, writing a doctoral thesis entitled Aspects of fiction in prose Vasile Voiculescu, which follows the metamorphosis of this type of literature texts voiculesciene. We find that Anastasia Dumitru through extensive bibliography that the associative and dissociative active spirit, he can extract from minuţioaselor analysis proteismul essentials about a topic so difficult, changing doubtful.
