In recent years, the Romanian Language as a Foreign Language (LRLS) has come to be studied by an increasing number of foreign citizens who come to Romania to study or work. In addition to the textbooks that specialized teachers design and make available to students, language tests play an essential role in the development of language skills, but also in increasing self-esteem. With the help of these tests, those who aspire to obtain a certificate of linguistic competence will be able to prepare better for the Romanian language exams.
In this context, Collection of Romanian language exercises and tests for foreigners. Level A1-B2 is primarily presented as an exercise book for the use of foreign students who come to Romania to study and enter the academic program called the Preparatory Year of the Romanian Language as a Foreign Language. Just as well, however, this volume can be a support for learning the Romanian language for other categories of foreign citizens who want to test their knowledge of the Romanian language.
The tests are structured starting from topical topics from everyday life, with the specific objective of familiarizing the students with the vocabulary and linguistic constructions specific to the Romanian language. In creating the tests, the authors set out to touch aspects that combine the elements of academic education with those of Romanian civilization and culture. Through this collection of tests, the authors want to extend a helping hand to foreign citizens who want to know our language and culture, but also to speak and write Romanian correctly.

The Romanian language exercise book that we propose is primarily addressed to foreign students in the academic program called the Preparatory Year of the Romanian Language as a Foreign Language, but it can just as well constitute a support for learning the Romanian language for other categories of foreign citizens who want to test their knowledge of the Romanian language.
Structured in the form of tests that address topical issues from the daily life of students and people in Romania in general, the book has as its specific objective the familiarization of students with the vocabulary and linguistic constructions specific to the Romanian language. At the same time, the themes addressed by the authors aim to reach some aspects that combine the elements of the academic Romanian language with those of Romanian civilization and culture.
The teachers provide the students with a package of tests to solve in class or at home, with a key included as a final unit, which helps those who test their knowledge of the Romanian language to self-evaluate.
In the tests proposed in this book, students will find grammar and vocabulary exercises that will help them better master the plural, gender and case of nouns, types and cases of pronouns, adjectives, adverbs, verb tenses. There is no lack of puzzle-type exercises, in which the given words must be ordered and placed correctly in a correct sentence both from a grammatical and a logical point of view. At the end of each test, there is an exercise to compose an own text, which the students will write in response to a given situation.
In addition to the Romanian language tests aimed at the gradual transition from general language level A1-A2 to levels B1 and B2, the authors of this didactic book offer students specialized language tests in the fields of: biomedical, engineering, economic, humanistic and social. These specialized language tests aim to familiarize students with language elements from the academic and professional fields of interest to them.
The authors of this exercise book are teaching staff with long experience in teaching Romanian as a Foreign Language at the National University of Science and Technology POLITEHNICA Bucharest, and this collection of tests represents a helping hand extended to those willing to know the country and speak and write Romanian correctly.
