Following the evaluation process for academic publishing houses, Editura Universitară has been re-accredited as a Category B publisher by the National Council for Scientific Research (CNCS) in the fields of Philology, Theology, History, and Cultural Studies and Category C for Cinematography and Media
Furthermore, Editura Universitară is recognized by CNATDCU as a prestigious publishing house. According to Ministry of Education Order no. 3019 of January 13, 2025 - which approves the mandatory minimum national standards for the conferral of the academic ranks of Associate Professor and Professor in higher education, as well as the habilitation certificate—works published under the imprint of Editura Universitară are eligible across 29 fields, including Psychology, Educational Sciences, Economics, Law, Medicine, Engineering, and other scientific disciplines.
Editura Universitară obtained CNCSIS accreditation in 2006 - a status subsequently reconfirmed for the 2006–2011 period and maintained in 2012, 2020, and 2026 (the latter marking accreditation by the CNCS).
Through our partnership with CrossRef, we assign DOIs (10.5682) to the works we publish.
Strict adherence to every stage of the publishing process—from evaluation, editing, and typesetting to high-quality printing—is a core value we uphold in our relationships with every author.
The recognition received from the CNCS and CNATDCU—demonstrated over the years by our vast and distinguished catalog of publications—motivates us to maintain the same high standards of rigor and excellence. This commitment is further validated by the steady stream of research papers, doctoral theses, and course materials submitted to us for publication, as well as by the exceptional team of authors and reviewers who work with us.
Only a very select group of publishing houses enjoys such recognition, and we are both pleased and honored that Editura Universitară has been included in the list of accredited and recognized scientific publishers. We anticipate publishing more books in these fields in the coming years, as it is both natural and necessary to give tangible form to the scientific work and dedication of the teaching staff.
We take this opportunity to thank all the collection coordinators, reviewers, and faculty members who have supported our efforts in this endeavor.
