This paper is addressed to students from the faculties with legal and administrative profile, public administration professionals, all those who want to get acquainted with the language specific to the legal-administrative field. The objective of the paper is to facilitate the assimilation of the lexicon of specialty through specific contexts provided by authentic texts, as well as through various exercises.
In the context of the mutations that occurred in the theoretical approach of public administration as an object of study interdisciplinary, of the evolution of the conceptual approaches, and considering the magnitude of the perspective multidisciplinary, the paper includes texts from the sphere of public administration, as well as from related fields - economics, law and management.
The material is organized in 30 themed lessons - which can be approached independently or in their succession. The first part deals with essential economic notions, such as market economy (market economy) and enterprise (free initiative), more easily accessible due to their character concretely, the impact that economic phenomena have on daily life; the second part is devoted to legal aspects inextricably linked to the study of public administration, but which involve an increased degree of abstraction. The third part contains central themes of public administration as academic discipline, but also as a social reality - bureaucracy, good governance governance), centralization vs.  ecentralization, the ratio between public administration and management.
Most lessons contain illustrative texts on specialized topics, which deal with major concepts related to the sphere of public administration, followed by lexical exercises aimed at setting the terms and expressions frequently used in specialized texts and the identification of their correspondences in the language Romanian, essay or conversation topics and grid type exercises.
In dealing with the classifications of the legal branches, we considered it useful to include some synoptic tables contrastive to illustrate more clearly the oppositions that are established between them.
The lessons are followed by a key of the exercises, thus facilitating the verification in the individual study. Minidictionarele attached - English-Romanian and Romanian-English - contain most of the terms and expressions included in the texts proposed for discussion, facilitating the understanding and assimilation of the terminology used.
Conceived as an individual work tool, the manual can also be a material auxiliary study for English language seminars for students, addressing equally students, self-taught and teachers.
