A fabulous female character from Romanian mythology, Joimarita from the novel with the same title, by Lacramioara Stoenescu, brings with her the destiny of an entire generation. Beautiful, cultured, Zamfira, the one with the name of a precious stone in her youth, becomes the "slut of the village". The love story between her and Dinu Aloman, back home from studies in Germany, is as clean as the "golden wheat fields" on the parents' estate.
The two chapters of the book "Summer of the heart" and "Winter of the mind" are two fragments of the life of Zamfira and Dinu, a Romanian officer fighting in the Second World War. The horrors of the war, of being imprisoned in the Oranski camp, are as inhuman as those committed by the "liberating" Soviets.
Returning home from the Oranski camp, the Romanian officers were considered traitors to the country and imprisoned by the new regime of those years in Jilava. Dinu Aloman is one of these officers.
Lacramioara Stoenescu's book is a document of memory where people's destinies intertwine until death, but the destiny of history.

LACRAMIOARA STOENESCU graduated from the University of Bucharest in 1969. She was a teacher at the Cantemir-Voda College in Bucharest and is a member of the Writers' Union. He has a rich literary activity, from which we recall:
