This volume was born from a deep conviction: that authentic professional training is not limited to the accumulation of knowledge, but involves a constant openness to people, communities and the profound meanings of social life. Social work, more than a discipline, is an inner calling to understand and support the human being in his moments of fragility, transition and rebirth.
The texts gathered here bear the imprint of this calling. They reflect the effort, curiosity and sensitivity of young people at the beginning of their professional journey, animated by the sincere desire to learn how they can contribute to change. Each work, each study, each reflection is a testimony of a process of formation, intellectual but also human.
Through the themes addressed, the authors bring to attention current issues of contemporary society: the inclusion of vulnerable people, the impact of crisis contexts on individuals, the relationships between institutions and communities, as well as the role of empathy and solidarity in rebuilding social ties. All of this creates a vivid image of a generation that seeks to understand the world not only theoretically, but through real, conscious and ethical involvement. This volume also represents the result of an educational and scientific approach that reflects the commitment of the Faculty of Psychology and Educational Sciences of the "Ovidius" University of Constanța to promoting excellence, critical reflection and social responsibility. Through the included works, the students and master's students demonstrate that research can be a form of dialogue between theory and practice, between the values of the university and the needs of the community.
For the teachers who guided these efforts, this volume represents a professional joy and a confirmation of the fact that university education remains a space of meaning, of search and of the encounter between experience and ideal. To coordinate such works means to look confidently to the future, knowing that we are training not only competent specialists, but people who deeply understand the value of human dignity.
This work represents a plea for knowledge, empathy and responsibility – values that define not only professional training, but also the personal development of each student. It shows that when young people are supported to think freely, to research and to express themselves, university education becomes a living space of meaning and authentic involvement.
This volume is dedicated to an exceptional promotion of students, future social workers, who, through their efforts and involvement in the field of social research and through their constant participation in scientific events dedicated to them, have generated emulation among their peers and have provided their teachers with an increased level of professional and personal satisfaction.
