The present work, "Psychology through syntheses and grids", by Prof. Dr. Florica Dumitrescu and Prof. gr. I Marieta Iordan, has the great merit of responding to a need for work tools for students who want to prepare for the baccalaureate exam and for the entrance exam to the Faculty of Psychology, thus filling a gap felt by both students and teachers.
The content of the collection faithfully respects the baccalaureate and college admission programs, managing to cover all the material that must be prepared by students assisted by teachers.
The approach to each topic is characterized by a clear structure, made up of the following components: 1) a plan of the topic - well synthesized, including in a synthetic way the most relevant content points, of great use to the students; 2) a set of 40 well-thought-out grids, with reference to the main content aspects; 3) answers for the 40 grids, the presence of which provides a safety tool for students preparing after this collection.
The learning content is approached rigorously and with a lot of creativity. The rigor is ensured by the synthetic nature of the "lesson plan", present in each topic, which presents the most relevant information that must be understood by the students. The content of the grids (multiple choice items) is also rigorous and with a creative approach.
The information present in the syntheses with which each theme begins is logically and didactically organized. The grids developed for each topic try and, in most cases, even succeed in covering all the relevant information with assessment items. The end of the paper contains the correct answers, giving students an immediate feed back, confirming the success/failure of solving the grids and the possibility of prompt correction where appropriate.
