Advances in the pharmaceutical and medical fields require the permanent updating of knowledge regarding the existing medicines on the pharmaceutical market in Romania. The medicine mnemonic brings in a clear and systematized way this information about the active substances used in therapy.
The increase in life expectancy in Europe, including in our country, has led to an increase in the number of elderly patients with comorbidities and polymedication. The pressure exerted on the health systems is increasing more and more. Thus, you will be able to observe an accelerated trend in the generation of frequently prescribed drugs based on clinical evidence and the recommendations of therapy guidelines. All pharmaceutical products containing the same active substance and authorized in our country are presented in the medication memory, in accordance with the ATC classification, thus facilitating the activity of practitioners working in the health field.
Many of the clinical treatment guidelines have been modified in recent years and emphasize the important advances in the field of biological therapy that address pathologies incompletely covered from a pharmacotherapeutic point of view: neoplasm, rare diseases, autoimmune pathologies, etc. In this edition of the medication reminder, all newly authorized medications have been included for their use in these situations.
In the context of drug shortages recorded every year in our country, the use of the medication memory becomes an indispensable working tool in pharmaceutical practice, for finding the best therapeutic solutions for individualized treatment plans of patients.
