This book aims to detail the basics of human physiology, with an emphasis on the notions of anatomy and physiological mechanisms that underlie the functioning of the human body.
I address this manual to all those who become specialists in working with people, who want to help those around them, but also to those who contribute to the personal development of those around them. I consider the book suitable for medical specialists, assistants, students, physiotherapists, young doctors who want to delve deeper into the physiological mechanisms that underlie the pathologies they face. I also consider the book suitable for physical education specialists, physical education teachers and sports coaches who want to understand the physiological mechanisms that underlie the harmonious development of the body and the development of performance capacity.
This manual presents the basic notions of human physiology: homeostasis of the internal environment, physiology of the nervous system, physiology of the endocrine system, physiology of the muscular system, physiology of the cardiovascular system, physiology of the respiratory system, physiology of the digestive system, physiology of the excretory system, physiology of the reproductive system and notions of metabolism.
I wrote this book with the aim of offering a basic support of the functioning of the normal human body, so that, later, we can understand the functioning of the "paranormal" body, of the performance athlete.
Last but not least, I wrote this book with the thought that it will be read by other people fascinated by the biological complexity of our body.
