The Notebook. Clearing the World

Elisabeta Rizea once expressed her hope in these words: "If only I could live another three days—but I want to know that the world has cleared."

Why is it that, even today, this world has not cleared as Elisabeta Rizea had hoped? I continue to seek the answer. Much time has passed since the anti-communist fighter from Muscel uttered those words—words that ought to become a social agenda and a political platform, for the world has still not cleared.

I wrote this work with a sense of unease and a deep fear of failing to fully capture the drama experienced by the people mentioned here in all its dimensions. In fact, the ideas revolve around two central dramas: the drama of these individuals and the drama of our country—two fates they inextricably linked and intertwined at every moment, starting from the early years of communism.
