Loana Ciobanu was born in 1960 in the city of Slatina. She graduated from the Faculty of Mathematics of the University of Bucharest and was a mathematics teacher at a high school in the capital.
Also at the University Publishing House, in 2021, her short prose volume “Taraba cu dorinţe” was published
She translated from French, at the Hasefer Publishing House, the volume “Paşi impletiți cu mersul unui ìnger” by David McNeil and a chapter from the volume of essays “Martori ai viitorului” by Pierre Bouretz.
