Multum in parva is the favorite poetic-aesthetic principle of the writer from Bacau, effective until 2024. Poet Paula Barsan has saved herself from falling into autopastiza, for now, (...) either through the "insatiable" longing for self (knowledge), for abstraction , of Apollinian vision, either through the language "deduced from the clock", through the inner congruence of one's own poetic universe, even in poems, such as Spill: "A midnight starts the whirlwind / Diamonded / Blowing bricks in the masts. / A distant ship smelled, / Unextinguished wail in the abyss / Towards / the Center of the Earth.”
The existential, neo-avant-garde, unmistakable and untranslatable halo of the poetry in the Desirable volume reaffirms Fernando Plessoa's seemingly accessible thesis: It is enough to exist to be complete.
