MIRCEA UDRESCU was born on August 25, 1942 in Pitesti. He graduated from the Faculty of Biology of the University of Bucharest in 1969. From the same year until 1990 he was a scientific researcher at the Institute of Anthropology „Fr. I. Rainer ”from Bucharest. Since 1991, he has continued his career as an archaeozoologist and paleontologist in Belgium, successively at the University of Liège, at the Royal Museum of Central Africa in Tervuren and at the Royal Museum of Natural Sciences in Brussels.
