The Morning I Killed the Blue Bird is a captivating story about a seemingly impossible love that transcends social attitudes. The main character is a young woman with literary aspirations, who finds herself trapped in a deep emotional connection with a homosexual American writer. Against the backdrop of a changing America, this story explores the complexity of love, sacrifice and the search for personal happiness. As the relationship between the two deepens, the young woman decides to sacrifice her love so that the reputation and political career of the man she loves will not suffer. Unexpectedly, fate takes a dramatic turn when the writer becomes the president of the United States of America. Despite the demands of his position, his love for the lost young woman endures, etched forever in his heart.
It is a story about two souls who learn to know each other and accept the fact that they love each other despite their differences. The reader navigates through the complexity of an impossible love that defies time, distance and the expectations of others. Through eloquent prose and sincere emotions, this novel penetrates the depth of human emotions, the story being a challenge to society's norms and people's inability not only to love, but also to understand love.

A love story crossing continents, with strong characters, still subject to Destiny. Their meeting, unsuspected, barely confessed in their hearts, quickly falls apart.
Emma, a budding young writer, meets Tim Darlington, a famous writer whom she admires and to whom she writes on Medium under the name Blubird, at the creative writing classes.
But the Blue Bird is killed and the electoral lie to propel Tim Darlington as America's first homosexual president places an insurmountable distance between them.
The three characters, Emma, Tim and Luca form a love triangle where days and nights, messages, questions intertwine and unravel.
Written in a modern manner, with references to medieval histories, the novel THE MORNING WHEN I KILLED THE BLUE BIRD, by Mihaela Raileanu, is a universal confession.
The new president of America elected in 2028 declares in his oath his regret that he did not talk about the woman he loved. "Lying is an anti-power," he says, apologetically. The guitar feather with the inscription "Metallica" from a famous concert in Tokyo is actually the feather of the song, flight and writing of the Blue Birds.
