Biomatematica and bioinformatics. Concepts and Applications

This book addresses all those interested in problems of mathematical modeling of biological processes and bioinformatics. Can be used as a laboratory manual and as a guide by students of the Faculty of Computer Science courses hearing this theme, but also by students of other faculties, as well as students who attend the Masters and PhD students.
The book provides basic information necessary for understanding the theoretical foundations and bioinformatics biomatematicii and Matlab and Python applications that allow the application of this knowledge to solve problems such as: the study of population dynamics, modeling the spread of infectious diseases, access to biological databases, processing microarray imaging technique or alignment of biological sequences.
The authors are members of the Natural Computing and Robotics Laboratory (http://natural.ics.pub.ro) of the Faculty of Computer Science.
