Our work, without being exhaustive, tries to shed new light on the personalities of the medical world who also showed aesthetic qualities used by writing pages of literature. Doctors, through permanent contact with the human being, know best the power but also the powerlessness with which any of us confront with. Fine connoisseurs of character, servants of Aersculap addressed humanity either advice in an affected style, or resorted to irony, allegories and parables, or scorned the deficiencies of human nature. Whatever the chosen method, their literary work had the same goal: moral recovery, stimulating what is good and pure in human beings in order to build a better world. A physician is a visionary. He has the grace to see the development of humanity in the past but can also see the future of mankind, he can perceive the shores towards which humanity is heading.
