This volume aims to bring to the attention of students, specialists and those interested in approaching the environment in general, assessments, data, interpretations and locations in this direction.
The media, as presented here, correspond to the unanimous acceptance, but with inherent regional interpretations.
The degree of anthropization, an element of substance in the current evolution and perspective of the environmental landscapes, enjoyed a special attention being allocated a corresponding volume of pages. It reflects, through the global, regional, sequential treatment, etc., important moments of human pressure in one place or another on the globe, the consequences and the attitude of the society towards the consequences.
It is intended to be a complex work, which also took into account an extremely rich literature, often the opinions being different and therefore presented as such.
As members of a global community, we all need some basic scientific principles but also elements that anchor us in social, political or economic reality, realities that affect the collective environment. We wanted to bring together all these concepts and perspectives, data provided by the natural sciences and social sciences, to create a common basis for understanding environmental issues.
We express our conviction that students and specialized teachers will find this volume a means, a tool at hand with which to operate in the infinite complexity of the environment.
