The paper "Entrepreneurship and business administration: tests and applications" is a teaching material complementary to the course support. These tests and applications try to provide students with specializations with an economic profile the knowledge necessary to apply the main concepts, principles and theories specific to the discipline "Entrepreneurship and business administration".
This paper contains six chapters, of which the first four focus on testing theoretical knowledge, and the last two on solving case studies and applications. Each of the first four chapters has the following structure: objectives, main ideas, key concepts, tests and questions, report topics and selective bibliography. The first chapter refers to the concept, typology and characteristics of the entrepreneur. It also highlights the main schools of thought in the field of entrepreneurship and presents the key features of successful entrepreneurs. The second chapter aims to present the concept of entrepreneurship and highlights the factors that influence and shape entrepreneurial capacity. In addition, it highlights the relationship between entrepreneurs and business ethics. The third chapter presents the connection between culture and entrepreneurship and refers to some of the objectives of entrepreneurial policies. The fourth chapter highlights the key role played by innovation in the entrepreneurial process and identifies the main methods of entering the business. It also emphasizes the importance of the business plan in the successful conduct of the entrepreneurial process. Some case studies are presented in the penultimate chapter while the last chapter focuses on the calculation of the main indicators of the business plan.
The authors express their hope that this work can contribute to the enrichment of the literature in the field of entrepreneurship and business administration, being useful to both students and teachers. Aware that the first edition of the paper can be improved, the authors are waiting for suggestions and comments from the target audience.
