I remember with great pleasure that weekends with my parents get on the train and we invariably Prahova Valley road, whether I was destined for Predeal, logs, or Babele Sinaia, Cota 1400, Peak Dog. And just as clearly and with great pleasure that I remember looking forward to get to Posada, to stand as 'left' out the window to see how the curves bend train, I stay away from the hitting coach and branches listen sensationally metallic noise of the wheels. My eyes tear because of the speed but I refuse to withdraw the train compartment. I watched with awe and respect that all landscape overwhelmed me.
A few years later with friends discovered Bucegi heights, but excited as Posada crossed the gorge with his version that could fall and always whirling Prahova.
Later, I looked out of Romania this space: the mind's eye trying to make parallels between Prahova Valley and Alpine crossings for a study comes to an end.
Now I realized that I like to be indifferent to the Prahova Valley. I recently returned from the gorge by train in Posada. My eyes tear but I refuse to retreat into the compartment.
