Editura Universitara is a partner in the tenth edition of INTERNATIONAL SUMMER LAW SCHOOL.
The summer school is organized between July 5-12, in Cavnic, Maramures, by the "Petru Maior" University, Tirgu-Mures, the "Babes-Bolyai" University, Cluj-Napoca, the Romanian Research Society for Public and Private Affairs.
President and moderator of the School is Dr. Daniel-Mihail Sandru (professor, "Dimitrie Cantemir" Christian University, Bucharest; coordinator, Center for European Law Studies of the Romanian Academy).
What is ISLS?
To overcome the feeling of contradiction created by the confluence of the concept of "school" with the idea of "summer", we feel compelled to reveal from the beginning that ISLS is an experience… it is a feeling that teaches you that you are valuable, that teaches you that it is beautiful to give and it shows you how to observe the beauty of teamwork and respect for each other. Besides this perfect PR, you should know that ISLS means fun and a smile.
What does he propose?
International Summer Law School 2017 aims to bring in front of the students admitted to participate, in front of the future ones, a set of professionals from different fields of real life. This human interaction aims to transmit knowledge of a different nature "than" those taught / learned in college.
How is it done?
It's simple, there are a handful of generous people, almost altruistic, who, unseen, set everything up. They use subliminal resources, combine different energies and expect nothing in return, except the joy of the participants.
It gets interesting… How do I get involved?
It's almost simple. If you research the history of ISLS on social media, you will find that each edition had a specific theme. This year, the theme is "ADR - Alternative Dispute Resolution" - especially in life / business… so we will talk about boredom such as mediation and arbitration. To become a happy participant in this jubilee event, all you have to do is take the time to come up with a short answer to the "key to the problem." That is, we have an imaginary case addressed to interested students, which in 500 words must provide a number of 3 answers related to the case. Thus, as Plaintiff, he must argue his request for arbitration, as Defendant, he must prepare the defense, and, as Arbitral Tribunal, he must adopt a solution to the dispute. Send us a letter of intent of maximum 200 words and CV in Europass format, written in Romanian and in an international language.
"Speta" will be posted on the event's Facebook page no later than June 11.
ISLS aims to make a contribution to the training of students, through interaction with specialists in various fields, has reached its tenth edition. The applications will be sent by e-mail to the address internationalsummerlawschool17@gmail.com, until 26.06.2017. The evaluation of the applications will take place immediately, and the list of accepted students will be communicated until June 28, 2017.
Attention, places are limited, the works will be analyzed by specialists!
How much does it cost me?
If you're a student, nothing. You just have to get there. Or if you encounter problems, let us know that you want to participate, to answer the question! Otherwise, we take care of you.
If you are not a student, it still doesn't cost you, but if you want to help with anything, thank you.
What do I get in return?
If you are a student? A unique experience, new acquaintances, friends and joys.
If you are not a student, we will be able to remind you what it is like to be a student and we will make room for your desire to help others develop.
Where does all this happen?
The ISLS tradition is a colorful one. It started at the castle, at Lapusna. He went to Sighisoara, was lost, arrived from Corbu (Constanta county), through Arcalia (Bistrita-Nasaud county), to Sighetu Marmatiei (Maramures county), to return to Lapusna and stop at home, the Tirgu-Mures.
The weather conditions and the jubilee anniversary demanded that the 10th edition go to the mountains, in a fairytale place, in Cavnic, Maramures county.
