Graduated from the University of Bucharest (1995), with a Master's degree in Human Settlements (1996) and a PhD in Geography (2003).
Associate Professor (2005) and Vice-Dean of the Faculty of Geography (2008), Director of the Research Center for Regional Development and European Integration (2009), member of numerous national and international committees, representative of Romania within the European Union's COST Actions IS0803 and IS1101 (2010).
