This volume entitled “Physical Rehabilittion Exam” was designed for the young fellows in the specialty Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PRM), whom have among their first duties to complete a patient's observation sheet. In PRM, clinical-functional assessment is a central element because of it’s important duality: to provide the main diagnosis (which is functional) and the specific rehabilitation program’ objectives.
In order to better understand, assimilate and use the clinico-functional evaluation apparatus, we have achieved as schematically as possible, a new material which mix classical, anatomical, clinical elements in a clear structure, used for PRM’ classical pathologies.
Combining the local examination items of neurology, rheumatology, orthopedics, adding the functional dimension, all were assembled into an assessment structure, which brings together all requaring elements from the classic literature (Onose, Sbenghe, Lucescu, Sidenco, Nica, and etc).
In the same manner, but also updated, I want to approach other important areas of our specialty: electrotherapy and kinetotherapy, in the following two volumes.
This volume is, as a matter of course, a strictly didactic material for our younger collaborators.
