Despite the title, Ordering Chaos is neither about chaos nor order, but rather about how by understanding the surrounding reality, we manage to find the order of our priorities, meet our passion (or vision?) And start looking, through her eyes, the world. This volume is about freedom and the way, about how we learn to sail against the current, when our values refuse to swim in the status quo of mediocrity. This volume is about breaking the interpersonal curtain raised by masks, screens and isolation and about the courage to be who we really are.
The beautiful young people who sign the works of this volume are free and brave, serious, ambitious, persevering and have a pure soul. I am part of a generation in formation that, Petre Tutea said a long time ago, could be born like this: "a head appears - or maybe several at once, which are anchored in the same ideal." You are here and now in front of a collective work of such "heads", which subtly reveal, between the lines and through carefully chosen words, their ideals. You are presented in Ordering Chaos, with subject and predicate, a new generation that, gradually revealing itself, opens its wings in the times when freedom and normalcy have become exceptional states.
"And if the ideal is brilliantly represented, it becomes the modeling form for those who follow it. The idea of model people must be accepted. While the apostles are absolutely melting, the models are melting into generations. ”
These young models melt into the fine texture of a new generation, they are its models, they have a clear and sharp eye, they observe everything carefully, they clearly x-ray reality and identify their shortcomings and opportunities, albeit without hesitation.
"Those who become models are creators of the times and currents and thus decisive for the city."
I am calmer today, (re) reading the memorable words of the Romanian philosopher Petre Tutea because I know that tomorrow, our "fortress" will be in the hands of people like my current students, who speak freely about their passions, observations, ideas and ideals. lor in Ordering Chaos. And this is, without a doubt, invaluable.
Painting from words and modeling from images the subtle fabric of this volume, these young people draw the world around them (and ours), with its wonders and abysses, building meaning bridges and sand castles, each in its own way.
I invite you to enjoy each work separately, to look beyond the carefully chosen words and you will see what I see now, today, after I have ended a disturbing and tumultuous year, with them, a year in which the surrounding reality he turned our plans upside down and reconfigured our personal and professional routes, like a Waze overtaken by rush hour traffic in a western metropolis.
I conclude with the memorable words of Petre Tutea, because they all fit the realities we live today, and I urge you to read and reread, over time, the works of these exuberant young people, free and beautiful, inside and out. From outside:
"Today's youth is clearly superior to our generation. and that's because it's not easy for him, in this fierce climate, as it was for us, in a more normal world. Well, we lived under royalty, we wrote on the Royal Palace ‘For rent’ and we didn’t suffer anything! Russian Bolshevism came with weapons over him, over his youth, and he shook himself like a duck. It has been seen now, in the revolt of ’89… The current generation is full of glory. To shield yourself from Bolshevism in the midst of Bolshevism - well, what's that called? ”
Today, perhaps only the word Bolshevism should be replaced…
