The name of information society is mainly due to the development of information and communication technology (ICT), which has penetrated all economic and social activities, deeply influencing our standard of living.
The use of informatics in the economic field has contributed to the growing importance of the notion of information, which has become a valuable factor of production in a deeply competitive economy.
Information technology provides the information support necessary for the development of any business, in conditions of efficiency, integrating equipment and software components necessary for information processing, communications, networks, and databases.
The information society refers to "an economy and a society in which access, acquisition, storage, processing, transmission, dissemination and use of knowledge and information have a decisive role."
Information and knowledge are the main resources of the information society and by using information and telecommunications services, in the context of using the Internet, ensures access and exchange of information directly to the user. In such a society, the financial resources must be directed towards investments in creative activities (conception) thus obtaining new products and services.
