"The study of contemporary economic theories, as well as their practical applications, are inconceivable without the use of mathematical methods and models. In the construction and study of mathematical models that describe economic phenomena, concepts and linear algebra outcomes plays a key role. This paper is intended to present these concepts and results in a form accessible to students of economic faculties I. It is based on the course of "Linear Algebra" taught by the authors first year students of the Faculty of Business Management in the Romanian-American University of Bucharest. On Besides chapters "classical" linear algebra course contains two chapters of particular importance for economic applications: one on the positive and the matrix theory on convexity. These chapters contain economic applications. Each chapter contains a paragraph proposed problems and problems solved to be solved, designed to enhance the theoretical knowledge. The book can be useful not only students but also professionals from various fields, particularly economic, that want to use theoretical mathematical results in their work or practice.
