Through this paper we want to confirm not only Descartes' idea that "Traveling means conversing with people of other centuries", but at the same time to show that through travel we come into direct contact with the people of the present, with those who build their future. and of humanity.
Starting with January 1, 2007, we are, "with proper documents", European citizens, free to travel where we want and how we want, of course in accordance with certain regulations in force. That is why it is necessary, more than ever now, to inform ourselves, in all aspects of the whole of Europe.
All those who wrote diaries, memoirs or papers on trips made in the country or abroad, said that it is very important that any trip is well prepared, given its many aspects, including those related to knowing the main objectives specific to different places we are going to go through.
In this paper we will focus on some general information about Europe and each European country: geographical location, memorable data from history, information about their capitals and main tourist locations, as well as some of the most important objectives of cultural and historical interest. which must be seen during their visit, then we will describe some possible and interesting routes and we will specify some specific rules that must be observed during the trips.
It is therefore necessary:
• to establish the routes and objectives we want to know;
• to inform ourselves about them;
• to prepare the vehicle, in case we will move like this;
• to analyze the budget we have in the action we want to undertake.
After establishing our routes and documenting the objectives we set ourselves to visit, we take care of preparing the car for a long journey and we ensure, according to the legislation in force, the procurement of documents necessary for travel abroad. :
• international driving license (issued by ACR);
• compulsory insurance (MTPL insurance for the EU area, and for non-EU countries the green card for cars;
• medical insurance of each person to travel);
• road maps required for scheduled routes, or GPS;
• information regarding the Romanian Embassies and Consulates;
• information regarding the members of the International Automobile Federation abroad who, having relations with ACR, can help us in special situations.

Personally, I have put into practice, in the last 15 years, these recommendations and, as a result, I managed to visit all European countries except Iceland and to admire the beauties of 580 localities abroad, to which are added almost 200 from Romania.
